Nevile & Co. Commercial Lawyers is a boutique firm in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, that focuses on fostering a fun, and collaborative office culture and building long-term client relationships. Its primary areas are Commercial & Corporate, Property, and Wills & Estate Planning.

Established more than 50 years ago, the firm has built a solid reputation with local, interstate, and overseas clients, including building developers, not-for-profits, mortgage brokers, real estate agents, and foreign investors.

Our offices may appear a little quirky with art and artefacts gathered over the years, particularly from Southeast Asia where we have developed a strong client base. However, we pride ourselves in our strong professional work ethic.

The Role: 

There is a great opportunity for a Property Lawyer (at least 4 years PAE) to join our friendly and dynamic Property Team.

Excellent communication skills and experience in property law transactions including conveyancing required.

The following skills are essential:

  • The ability to handle a high volume of both acquisition and sales of residential property with the support of a property paralegal and junior property lawyer.
  • Experience with acquisition and sale of commercial property.
  • Familiar with FIRB rules.
  • Off-the-plan developments.
  • Land subdivision.
  • Familiar with GST and CGT withholding requirements.
  • Hands-on experience using PEXA and Duties Online.
  • Working knowledge of LEAP an advantage.

A foreign language would be beneficial but is not essential.
