Our founder and Principal Lawyer, Peter Nevile, has been practicing law for more than 50 years. From humble beginnings in Malvern, Melbourne, he has grown Nevile&Co. into an all-in-one boutique law firm which today boasts more than a dozen lawyers, paralegals, and administrative staff.

Nevile & Co moved to the Paris end of Collins Street in 1986, the same building it resides in today. Some might say this makes us boringly stable, however we’ve achieved this longevity and consistency through one simple approach – don’t focus on problems, focus on solutions.

This steadfastness and constancy has allowed Peter and our firm to maintain long standing client relationships. Many of our clients have been with us for decades and come to us first for all their legal needs, no matter what stage of life they’re at.

From setting up their company, purchasing their first home, writing their wills, and resolving any issues in between, Nevile & Co has supported them every step of the way and many have become close friends of the firm.

We don’t want to be just any lawyer. We want to be “your lawyer”.

Nevile & Co. prides itself on the longevity and loyalty, not just of our clients but within our own team. In 2021, Peter Nevile promoted Meng Cheong, one of our longest serving lawyers, to the position of Partner. Together they will ensure Nevile & Co. is providing the reliable service we are known for and supporting our clients for many years to come.
